About the Creator

Claudio Klaus

Claudio Klaus is a lawyer trained in Brazil and licensed by the Law Society of Ontario. His legal experience spans Brazil, the United States, and Canada. He holds bachelor's degrees in Law and International Relations and completed the Global Professional Master of Laws at the University of Toronto.

His career has included work with appellate courts in Brazil, complex state law matters in Arizona, including a capital punishment case, teaching business law, and legal work in both the public and private sectors in Canada. He has supported corporate transactions, commercial real estate matters, court proceedings, and legal projects involving different jurisdictions.

Today, Claudio brings this international experience to his legal practice in Ontario, with a strong interest in helping clients and legal professionals navigate different legal systems and business environments.

Claudio created Studying Law Around the World to connect legal communities and share the real experiences behind international legal careers. Through the podcast, he has spoken with lawyers, professors, judges, students, and legal professionals from around the world.

He has also led initiatives such as the 75 Lawyers Project, through which he held structured career conversations with senior lawyers across Canada and shared their insights with the next generation of legal professionals.

Claudio's work brings together legal practice, education, storytelling, and international dialogue. His goal is not simply to create content. It is to create useful conversations that help lawyers think more broadly, make thoughtful career decisions, and build stronger connections across legal systems.

Real journeys, not polished resumes. The focus is on honest experiences, including challenges and pivots.

2

Global perspective

Law is local, but careers are not. Different systems are a source of insight, not confusion.

3

Practical insight

Every conversation should leave the listener with something they can actually use, whether that is a strategy, a mindset, or a new idea.

4

Accessibility

Make legal careers feel understandable and reachable, especially for people navigating new countries or systems.

5

Curiosity

Ask simple, direct questions that open the door to deeper thinking and unexpected paths.
