I am preparing a book called Studying Law Around the World: The Hidden Curriculum of International Legal Careers, which I hope to release in the near future.
The book grew from more than 135 podcast conversations with lawyers, professors, legal entrepreneurs, career advisers, and professionals connected to legal communities around the world. Across very different careers and countries, I began noticing the same questions appearing again and again:
- How do lawyers build trust in a new professional market?
- How does experience gained in one legal system become understood in another?
- What do law schools and licensing processes rarely teach about relationships, visibility, communication, belonging, and professional identity?
The book is my attempt to bring those lessons together and make the informal side of international legal careers easier to understand.
